Welcome to my new Blog! What do you think? What do you know!

The reason for the blog is so that, "We," the general population have our own voice on what we feel should stay or should go in entertainment, radio, tv, politic's, business, clothing, books, etc.

If, "WE," have an "inuitive" opinion then let's get it out there and be heard and share it!

I also will be asking some of you  out there whom I've become acquainted with over the years - and others who I haven't had the privledge to meet as of yet... to be my eyes and ears in different states and give me the head's up on what YOU believe INTUITIVELY what's great, good or just stinks with regard to many topics.

The first person I've chosen for this task - if she chooses to be involved - and who doesn't know it yet is "Rhonda from Georgia!"

If you're interested in getting involved for this FREE venture and consider yourself extremely intuitively...email me at celestialwhispers.com and click on 'Contact Mary' with your thoughts and insights.

Every week I'll have different topics that I'm receiving a 'celestial-pull' toward and ask you what's your take on the subject. I will read every entry and will pick at least two different takes on any given subject matter.
But, please keep in mind that this Blog has a triple "G" rating and keep in mind that children of all ages
are welcome to read this blog at any given time.

I'm sure there will be times when certain issues addressed will not be suitable or interesting for children and I will leave that to their parent's discretion. But there will be no curse-words used on this blog or anything said that you couldn't discuss in your own home proudly.

For my first question to you is...

What do you think about "Reality TV Shows?"

The first shows that come to mind are: The Beverly Hills Housewives and the Atlanta Housewives.

My question to the network is...Why do the "Housewives" have to be millionaires?

And, why are these 'housewives" so catty toward each other?

My view is that if I hung around with anyone on a constant basis as these ladies are shown to do, I wouldn't be so mean to my so-called friends on or off the air-wave.

I am NOT a hater of these shows. In fact, I do watch them often. But, I'm sad to say that the drama and meanness toward certain individuals on these shows has begun to go stale with me.

In fact, I believe that although both shows have some wonderful people starring on them such as, Lisa from Beverly Hills, and Kandie, from Atlanta. The constant arguments that have seemingly become the highest rated of all the shows onlyI believe helps promote, 'bullying' in our nation as a whole.

What's your take on these shows? Are they...Good, Bad or do they... just Stinks?

  1. I can't stand reality TV shows. They only show the very worst in people and I find it downright degrading. I don't find it entertaining in the least.

People need to get a life!

  2. I do not watch to shows that you mentioned for that reason.

  3. Thank you for your comments ladies. I agree with both of you! But, I had to see for myself in watching them just what the heck the nation was giving such HIGH ratings to!

Keep the opinions and comments coming!

  4. I don't like the shows.I am a house wife and dont act like that .

  5. I think shows like this put us back hundreds of years, playing into the old stereotypical notion that women are way too emotional and incapable of making their own money. Why gold digging, seemingly back stabbing women on TV are so very appealing, I'll never know. I would like to see reality shows showcase all the women who are strong, independent and ALSO kind to their friends and family...but I guess there's no ratings there. ;)

  6. I think the Tv producers incourage the very worst in the "actors" and magifiy any little thing into a bid deal. I don't spend my time watching this sort of TV.

  7. Another thought I had was why are these shows called, The "Real" Housewives? Do we all have to be millionaiires or drink wine with lunch to be a REAL woman or housewife?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Although many of us wouldn't chose to watch these types of shows, then we have to ask ourselves...Why then are they getting the supposingly millions of people tuning in?

And how do we get to these network Big-wigs and tell them we want these negative shows and definition of womanhood to stop!

  9. I find it funny that these shows are called "Real Housewives" when none of them are actual REAL housewives at all.

I'm a housewife, and I don't run around on shopping sprees or hold my dog on a Louis Vuitton bag. I cook, I clean, I declutter, I dust, and on top of that I have a husband, a child, and the best group of girlfriend EVER.

Having said that, I do enjoy watching these shows for the "peepng Tom" effect. I personally like the New York "housewives".

I live in Atlanta, and there is a company that sells t-shirts that say, "True Housewife of Atlanta" on them. I have one, because I AM ONE!

  10. I don't watch these shows mostly. I'm not sure its all reality. I think it is like wrestling staged to some extent because they want high ratings. If everyone got along what would people have to watch...? It would be boring to most and wouldn't stay on so long. That is why the news is so hyped rather its weather or something worse... its all about ratings. Ratings equal $$$.

    ReplyDelete
  11. BTW, MARY, I just e-mailed you on Celestial Whispers website...I'd love to get involved!

  12. The only way to get these "big wigs" to get the message is to stop watching...no ratings, no show.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Wow...I am in total agreement here!! Why all the ratings!! Shows such as "Jersey Shore" blow my mind with all their publicity. Even Barbara Walters gave them airtime...why??? What do their families think of their behavior and what happened to family values? No one seems surprised by anything anymore. Very disturbing.

  14. I'll speak up for the other side of it...I think that each variation of the show displays the different variations of who is portrayed as "hosuewives" across America. I've followed a few of the shows before mainly because I cant imagine having millions at my disposal to go shopping, or become a one hit wonder, or host bithday parties/charities events that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. I think the amount of money these women display on a regular basis is the initial draw for most who watch. The more drama and absurd behavior that is filmed makes for good tv, but then reminds america that they might have the money but they certainly dont have the class. These women aren't intended to be role models.

One last comment...how can it be reality when the women are cherry picked by producers and forced to spend time togehter!

    ReplyDelete
  15. This is Vickie - I DO NOT ever watch these shows, don't even want them to get my rating! The commercials of them are truly bad enough!

  16. Hello Mary..... Nice to see you here. Your show was a "reality show" and I LOVED IT!!! Some shows I admitt I cant help watching. It's hard to believe that people act like that. Although I agree with you I do watch reality shows. Miss you on xm too!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't believe that any of the them qualify as a "housewife" Those of us that are, cook, do dishes and clean toilets and alot more to keep our homes running. I would bet that a day as a real housewife would do them in.

  18. I don't know from reality TV, but I'm very happy to see that you're sitting up and taking nourishment... and blogging, to boot! My only problem is that I can't read your blog without first translating it, in my head, into Italian-American Brooklynese. I'm afraid it loses something in the translation. Maybe every now and again you could sprinkle in a few madonna mias, stunads, and maybe an oobatz or two? For reality sake, I mean.

  19. Mary - I believe the shows are getting high ratings due to the entertainment shock factor. People can not BELIEVE that grown women behave like this. I believe these shows will not last in the long run. A good example of this is Jerry Springer. He had the highest ratings, people couldn't wait to see what would happen next on the Springer show. At the same time, Oprah decided, no I am above that I will not promote negative behavior, I want a show to inspire people. Her ratings dropped during this time, but soon, the shock factor went away and people stopped watching Springer, the show was cancelled. Now - tell me, what happened to Oprah??? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  20. You're right. They're not real housewives. Instead of cooking and cleaning they talk to friends, tweet, surf blogs and whatnot. Interesting thing here - it seems that you would be ok with the show if they simply changed the name.

    ReplyDelete
  21. These shows exemplify how out of touch a percentage of the population is with the reality of the real world. The real world in which 80% of Americans live. To spend $60,000 on a childs birthday party when most of the U.S. is struggling to keep their homes and lives together financially and emotionally. The Dynamics of these "reality" personal relationships are frightening. I certainly don't want the youth of American seeing such childish and High School behavior as the norm. Unfortunately sensationalism sells! Are we misrepresenting housewives, portraying them in ways that misguide the world? All to increase ratings and income? Or is this another part of reality we are just getting a peak at? Either way it is an issue. Was it Nostradamus who said moving pictures would predict the future? Scary?

  22. My 25 year old daughter is addicted to these "housewife" shows. I have watched them with her and I don't like the mean spirit of them. Frankly I think they are scripted. But have you noticed how much wine drinking takes place? In about every scene they are all drinking!

While I find the "Housewives" shows a bit too much, I do like the reality shows that redesign folks homes, baths, etc. And, I am rather addicted to Property Virgins and House Hunters. I find them helpful and people treat each other nice - I also liked Mary's show ;-)

I am so glad Mary is back!

    ReplyDelete
  23. No, Colleen, I would not watch if they did change the name. I have seen enough of the commercials that has made me not want to watch the program at all. The shows title insinuates that they are Housewives. In the real world, THEY ARE NOT!!

  24. As I read these I just have to make a quick note as to Oprah...she is NO SAINT!! My family was guest on her show, what now seems like a lifetime ago, and lets just say she has one thing on her mind at all times...HERSELF!!! Come on just look at her new network...the first month was all shows of herself and her closes friends!! Sorry this is not what I wanted to say on here that woman just hits a nerve inside me!!

As for the Real Housewives!! I LOVE them! These women are nuts! It's like going back in a time machine to high school! Those were some really hard years for myself and these shows just remind me that those girls who bullied me for so long, probably ended up just like these sad women! Nothing solid, bad marrages, out of control children...the list goes on and on!!

I am a stay at home mom of two kids with disabilities, I scrub my own toilets, cook our family meals, kiss my kiddo's boo boo, I am A REAL HOUSEWIFE!! Again BIG fan of these shows because it's just another reminder of how great my life is and how much I appreciate everything my wonderful little family has!

  25. Mostly I think if they did not show catty times viewers would be bored. But in truth isn't this what happens in our lives. Our expectations do not come out the way we wanted it to. It also shows that while we ride past those houses, as my mother use to say, we do not know what goes on inside. I do watch the shows cause I like the lessons it teaches, be kind to one another, what some people show on camera eventually show some of their true characters and they even say that on their reunion. Does it not show us that even if you have the money, it makes you realize they experiences money losses, divorces, and friendships end. It not reality in the real sense but it does show everyone problems come to everyone not matter who you are. It saddens me about the young reality stars like Jersey Shores because it makes them think stardom makes everything in life better.

  26. I have to admit I am a fan of reality shows. I really haven't watched the Real Housewives but am addicted to Survivor, Amazing Race, Undercover Boss and lately been watching Face-Off and You're Cut Off. I think we like this kind of TV for the same reasons we watch soap operas, without the unrealistic issues, such as frequent bouts of amnesia, etc that is so fake (Though some actions are still pretty wild and out there). I find them intriguing because I am people person and love to watch , see, learn how different people react. In a way, its almost sobering while at the same time eye-opening to learn that people's idea of normal behavior and desires can be so different and yet so similar. You also learn things, like about different jobs (Undercover Boss, Face-Off, Top Chef), different cultures (Amazing Race and in way The Real Housewives and Jersey Shore) and how people react under pressure. So, while others may be embarrassed to admit it, I am not. I do enjoy them (but also take it with a grain of salt, it is entertainment after all and editing can skew "reality") and I actually learn something while getting entertained.

  27. First, once again we have a synchronicity as I have on my "to do list" make a blog! Go Mary Go! Great topic and I agree with your points I also like Kandie from Atl and LIsa from BH, they seem to have a realness about them and depth. I do watch these shows, however, what was once entertainting is getting a bit boring. Furthermore, It would seem that the self absorbed "stars" of these shows have not matured past the schoolyard behavior of "my dad makes more $ than yours" or "you can't join my club" they act like spoiled brats and their quest for fame only speaks to the collective view of most of our society. I remember when a star was a person who has real talent and abilities that spoke about an art form or a craft that took years of hard work and dedication to develop. It would appear that is longer a requirement, especailly on reality TV. All one needs to do is act dysfunctional, self absorbed, and rude and turn on the cameras. As if that is not bad enough, the worst is when they use their children as a prop in the fame game, sad, very sad.
Like I said, and I am being honest here....I have a do watch them but the entire concept is getting old real fast....I think I need to read more! Thanks for the topic! :-)

  28. I have watched 2 of the "Housewives" shows. Im pretty sure that a lot of the shenanigans that go on are staged to bring in a larger audience. The majority of people, Ive come to realize LOVE drama, especially when its not their own. I do watch a good bit of reality shows, it can be more entertaining than regular shows and sometimes educational. Thats my two cents :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mary I don't watch the two shows you speak of because of the negativity. I don’t deal well with that kind of energy; I can be very sensitive to it. I do however really enjoy The Biggest Looser - I love the positive energy that enters the people’s lives through their experiences.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The reason why those shows are so popular is pretty simple... Its an opportunity for the media to exploit real life drama, and for real life people to feel good about themselves and their lives as they compare themselves to the train wrecks on tv. These reality tv shows are the curtain we pull down in front of our own eyes so we don't have to focus on the details of our own lives. In literature they called this sentimentality, in real life I think its best described as ignorance. Then there are a whole group of people who are so disconnected that they actual romance the idea of having the luxury to be dramatic, superficial, dishonest, disrespectful and careless because they think that its leads to happiness. Ahhh the chaos of the mind!

  31. Hey Mary, it's Terry from Ga! What a great idea to have your Blog! I watch the Beverley, New York & New Jersey housewives. Face it people, there's not much on TV in this economy & these people are always good for a laugh! You gotta admit from the bad plastic surgery to the bad choices for "friends" there's always something to go "OMG"!I mean could you believe that the source of the show "Medium" would show up drunk & acting like a real creep on Beverley Hills?!LOved it!!Love you more Mary!

  32. I love these shows, for it shows people that everyone has their issues, some people think if only I were rich, everything would be perfect! With these shows you see that far from it, they are always in competition who has what and who makes the fancier more elaborate parties!!! Always talking about one another, not really knowing who is really your buddy!!!!

  33. Interesting topic! I have been known to watch the "Real" housewives but only the NY one. I don't think I will watch the show again. I just felt that the situation between Jill and Bethany was so upsetting. Who wants to watch two best friends fight and struggle with their friendship. So many tears were shed. So sad. I personally can't stand drama and would never treat my closest friends so horribly.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I've watched the shows...it's like car accidents, you don't want to look, but can't help it. Once again, it stereotypes women as catty and unable to really be friends with any one woman for very long.

I don't like any kind of reality show.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi Mary,

I consider it an honor to be the first person that you chose for your new blog.

Reality TV Shows are okay, but there really not for me. I don't get any pleasure out of watching people being disrepectful to each other. I think Realty Shows are sending out the wrong message to our youths of today and to everyone else who watch them. My friends are dear to me and I would never do anything to hurt them or to disrespect them. I want to see Reality Shows that can wake people up by feeding their souls spiritually, so they are able to think outside the box. We need Reality Shows that can inspire us, awaken our instincts and inspire us to manifest the life that we deserve. We need Reality Shows that can build us up not tear us down!!!

We need to have more Reality Shows like Mary Knows Best that can touch on the importance of family, love, inspiration, and the respect of others.

The BEST Reality Show I know of is Mary Knows Best!!!

Many Blessings to each of you!!!

    Love You More Mary!!!

  36. I agree with Rhonda, too much negativity in reality tv. I do like Ghost Hunters but not sure if that is really considered reality tv or not. I liked Mary Knows Best when it was on. Would like to see a show where people are taught how to work on their psychic skills, maybe switch the shows host/teacher show people like Mary, James Van Praagh, John Edward, Gary Schwartz could do an episode testing people.

  38. I love reality television. I'm a fan of NJ Housewives myself. (hey, I'm from NJ - actually from that area--but without the money). When my first husband had cancer, reality tv was about all my mind could handle. An hour of so of absolutely mindless entertainment. It's so over the top. It entertained me and I didn't have to think. I also like Survivor, Amazing Race, etc. What can I say? I'm easily entertained!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hi Mary, It's Nancy from Joisey,

I think "reality" TV has an important role in our current culture. While I do not watch NJ Housewives nor the Jersey Shore because they represent the reality of very few, entitled, nasty people - I do enjoy watching reality shows that give me insights into other livelihoods, foods, religions, supernatural encounters etc. I tend to enjoy ie. ice-road truckers, Ghost encounters, cake boss etc

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think these type of shows are so fake, can't stand them. They aren't like real housewives that I know. Do you see any of them taking care of sick children, cooking dinner for the family and such. That's real reality of a housewife. I loved your TV show.

    ReplyDelete
  41. oops.. I forgot..LOVE YOU MORE!

  42. People watch reality show for an age old reason. Same as we watch train wrecks, auto accident, fires and natural disasters. We get to see people behaving badly and we are probly more miserable than we are.
    I think they stink!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. The various "Housewives" shows make me wonder if I am the only one working! Their reality is not my reality however it can be entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I try not to watch them because they just get me mad. Most of those shows are scripted anyway. This country is obsessed with the rich and celebrity. These shows have completely ruined the film and TV business. Explain to me what warrants the Kardashian's making 65 million last year. There is not one shred of talent in that family.

  45. Thank you everyone for your comments.
Will give my feed back later this afternoon after my personal intuitive readings.

  46. REALITY TV IS MISSING ONE THING....REALITY ! THE SHOWS ARE SCRIPTED WITH STORY LINES....

    ReplyDelete
  47. The "Housewives" are definitely NOT a reality show! What "Housewife" is all glammed up like a barbie-doll and constantly getting together with other "housewives" for girls-night/weekend-out??...and are millionaires? Come on....nothing about that show is real. There are a few "reality" shows out there that are close to being realistic. But "the-powers-that-be" spruce it up a bit to keep the viewers hooked!

I agree with some of the other posters here when they say that the "Housewives" shows breed negativity. All you see is arguing, back-stabbing, bragging, crying, conceit, drama and manipulation....so I ask you, is that entertainment??

    ReplyDelete
  48. It is entertainment NOT reality! As many have said they are not real housewives, they are socialites. Half of the housewives of Atlanta, don't even have husbands!
This country has lost a lot of it's morales, ethics, and good old fashion code of conduct. The younger generation have been influenced from reality shows like these and their behaviour comes increasingly inappropriate. Because it is on TV they think it is reality and ok. Take 16 and pregnant, REALLY! Irresponsible tv shows! The entertainment world used to have conscientous thought about what it would air. Now it is just all about the money. It is sad and we need to begin to demand better quailty, moralely correct entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Helen, you hit the nail on the head!! To quote you...."The younger generation have been influenced from reality shows like these and their behaviour comes increasingly inappropriate." That is so true...kids, unfortunately tune into these programs, think that the mannerisums of these people are cool, funny, and okay and want to imitate them. As we all know, kids are easily influenced...and it's sad that they use these people as role models! And your right, when it comes down to it, it's about the almighty dollar!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Sorry but I don't feel you can blame tv or, as in my day, music for the younger generations horrific, rude, and lazy behaviour! Yes I feel they are learning these traits from these shows but it all boils down to parents. I hate to say BAD parenting because not every family has the luxury of a stay at home parent, but you still have to take responsibility for your own childs behaviour. Yes I let my 13 year old watch these shows with me...but we also talk after every episode we watch about how ridiculous these people and their children act and how they could have made better choices. Life is really all about the choices we make and the consequences of our decisions...

    ReplyDelete
  51. I toldly agree, Happymommy, parenting plays a very important role and is ultimately the parents responsibility. But as you said, it is very difficult to have any stay at home parent's these days. My parents both worked as well, but my television was Leave it to beaver, Mr Rodgers, Brady Bunch, etc.... I didn't need my parents to watch with me and explain how wrong it is. They instilled the morales in me through every day lessons of life and held me to the consequences if I didn't uphold the morales and values they taught me.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Mary, since you mention Real Housewives of Bevery Hills, I was wondering, what did you think of Allison DuBois' behavior on that show. I thought that it was really unprofessional and gave psychic's a bad name.

    ReplyDelete
  53. HappyMommy, I also agree with you! I'm not blaming everything on todays television programs and music, but I feel they are contributing factors though. I strongly believe in good-parenting, and teaching your child/children good manners, morals, scruples, behavior, etc, etc...it does start with how they're brought up....but I feel some of these shows they're watching may influence their behavior and in some instances promote negativity, bullying and other things of that nature. It's true, no one can put the blame on one specific thing...but unnecessary factors should try and be eliminated whenever they can.

  54. Monday, Monday! Good morning everyone and happy President’s Day to you!

I’m so looking forward to moving on with our new blog on how to enlighten as well as enhance our everyday intuition right here at, Mary Occhino’s Intuitive Nation. A blog which will hopefully give everyone their chance to give their “Intuitive,” opinion.

What’s the difference between your intuitive opinion and your general opinion?

Well, the answer all depends on just how intuitive you are and how used you are in allowing your intuitive interpretation not be marred on any prior notions or bad or ill feelings you may have with a particular subject matter or personal grievance.

My intention this week as well as every week hereafter on our national blog, is to help everyone (which includes me too!) - to awaken our instincts a little more day by day just by thinking and contemplating everyday matters. And some of those matters many of you may not have generally thought about contemplating in the fist place.

So, if some of you may already be thinking that because the first set of questions I brought forth for you to contemplate were about ’reality shows’ - that’s these questions aren’t spiritually enough for me to be part of. Or maybe that some of you may be thinking “Hey, is Mary selling out to the “Entertainment Industry” and forgotten about what we’re really interested in learning from her - such as enhancing the level of our soul’s earthly development as well as our psychic abilities which also include medium ship. I promise you I have not forgotten the most significant task at hand.

Allow me now to let you into my conscious mind and explain to you as thoroughly and as specifically as I am able just why I’ve chosen these subject matter, venues, genres and personalities at times to be our, “intuitive study lessons.” I’d like you to think of each of our weekly mindful questions right now as a light intuitive exercise . Think of these questions as mental and soulful exercises without any heavy mental lifting, so to speak.

The main reason I decided on these topics was because I question my own psyche and asked myself what were the most asked questions I’ve been asked during my as an intuitive. Or, I should say the most commonly asked questions I’ve been asked since I was known to the public as an intuitive. And, every question I am ask include this one…“Mary…how did you awaken your natural psychic abilities?”

And so, as I search my consciousness and sub-conscious for the most specific answer that would accurately explain how I go about awakening my instincts up until today, that is without any heavy mind lifting (by that mean without having to do any heavy mediation).
And the answer is as follows:

As I went back in time, somewhat like an out of body experience - way back into my childhood and even infancy - I saw that I had the most private fun testing my natural abilities - that was a time many years ago before anyone that I was aware of tested a child’s psychic abilities. I did so myself, the way many of you do crossword puzzles while reading your daily newspaper. You see, my mental psychic-puzzle was listening to the evening news with my family in good old downtown Brooklyn, which is now known as lovely Carroll Gardens. (Just giving you a little visual of my surroundings. I find mental visuals always help with remote viewing).

    ReplyDelete
  55. As I watched or sometimes eavesdropped on what the news anchor or radio personality perhaps were saying about any significant topic - I would find myself mentally ‘seeing’ the outcome of a problem. Which could be anything from a weather report, murder, accident on a highway, or school or bus strikes. I remember especially becoming extremely anxious as a very young child when I would hear any anchor, be they from TV or radio say the words, “Breaking News!” Oh, how my heart would flutter and still sometimes does when I hear those words. But, I found that in order to calm myself that if I search my mind and worked on seeing the outcome just long enough to stop being an anxious Indigo Child, that my anxieties would quickly fade.

And please let me remind you that as a child I NEVER thought I was any different than anyone else and wasn’t looking for anyone to tell me I did a good job. Or, how right I was seeing the outcome of any given situation. Heck, I usually didn’t say anything to anyone other than my mother that is. It was easy saying those kind of things to my mom because I was used to her saying what she thought whether she said it out loud or not. My mother was always the most intuitive person I’ve known and I guess she was the one who showed me how to have fun with my intuition and that was by ‘reading’ the outcome of an episode on our favorite TV show…that would drive my father and brother nuts especially when mom and I both started to blurb out what or who did what from the first two minutes of a TV show beginning.

You see these mental lighthearted puzzles were and are still just the way my mind works.
And, I believe that because I allowed my mind to wander as a kid and rid myself from at first the anxiety of hearing the phrase “Breaking News” and had learned to have easy fun by reading the energy of the celebrities I saw on the Ed Sullivan Show (if only for myself), as well as psychically testing myself on what an episodes shocking outcome would be just minutes after a show began - that those exercises unknowingly enhanced my natural intuitive abilities in leaps and bounds because it became an everyday, very normal part of my life.

And so, that’s the story on why I’ve begun our blog with seemingly simple questions about TV shows and will continue to do so until you know longer fear the words, Breaking News and can more or less tell from the get go of a TV show just where it’s going and how it’s going to end.

    ReplyDelete
  56. So, please don’t discard the questions I will be bringing forth to you because you may not believe they are profound to enlighten you soul as well as your psyche. But, I assure you they are and you will find yourself naturally seeing and reading the energy all around you without hurting a hair on your head!
So, if you really want to enhance your natural instincts and allow your psychic abilities to possibly be able to connect as a medium - then allow yourself to just let go and go with the flow of the weekly questions and work on what seems to be very simply questions I am asking you about, I.E., TV shows, radio shows, books, films, celebrities, novelists and current events.

And the most important lesson you need to learn and keep in front of your conscious mind is how to stay objective. Being objective is probably the hardest lesson our mind has to keep aware of when working on reading any future or present energy.

If you haven’t seen a certain show or are not aware of a certain person I’m speaking about one week, by all mean Google the show or person or venue and see what you can learn - intuitively - with the information you just acquired. But remember, you MUST stay objective always and see things for what they are now not what others may have said about them be it good or bad prior.

With all this said I’d like to bring up 3 different TV shows I’d like your intuitive voice on.

1 - “The Pitt Boss” - airing on the, “Animal Planet.”

2 - “The Haunted: - also on the, “Animal Planet.”

    3 - “Celebrity Ghost Stories”

Sorry for such a long note this morning, but I thought a semi-chapter lesson would be a good idea and allow everyone to really understand why I’ve chosen the topics I have.

    Love you more,
    Mary Occhino

  57. The question has been brought up to me with regard to a certain Medium's behavior is unethicaland downright disgusting!
I felt and still feel that a true and real person given a gift of second sight must take that sight as a blessing and be held responsible for their behavior. I found the more negative a psychic becomes the less accurate they are.
That's not saying I believe I'm an angel...but their are NO words to describe how upset I was with the psychic-medium who came on as Camille's friend. Camille, I feel needed a much more positive person around her at that at that time to help her with all that she is facing now.

  58. I have no interest in watching people hurt each other just for the attention. I did see a new reality show that will be start soon, called "Welcome Home" it is about the men and women coming home from war and surprising their families. That looks like it might be good. I like to watch the reality shows that help to save animal also.

  59. Hi Mary

I didn't see the Pitt Boss. I have seen The Haunted a few times, I kind of get it mixed up with all the other ghost shows, but I think I enjoyed it the times I saw it. I do watch Celebrity Ghost Stories although I don't believe most of those are true. Seems like an awful lot of celebrities have had encounters. hmmmm

  60. I haven't seen the Pitt Boss or The Haunted, but I have watched Celebrity Ghost Stories. I'm on the fence about that show...some of these celebrities stories seem real and I believe their experiences, but others, I feel they're "acting" and making up a good story or at least trying to anyway.

As far as "alot" of celebrities having had encounters...why not? They're people too...lol. The paranormal and people's experiences really weren't spoken about in the past. If you did share your story, people just assumed you were crazy! That subject was taboo!!

Only recently, say in the last 10-15 years,(in my opinion) has the paranormal, ESP, the psychic phenomenon, the afterlife, etc..become "popular" and widely accepted, and people aren't "afraid" to share their stories and experiences anymore....especially celebrities!

  61. Love Pit Boss and am waiting to see the new show about Millionaires that surprise people and then help them financially to continue helping others!!! Sounds great, I think we are heading to the right direction. Re: other reality with their cat fights and shopping, it is not what I would do, I would love to see them help others get on their feet, that would be more useful and rewarding to do with their money!!!!

  62. Good morning eveyone. This first comment is in response to Terri, who said that many people may be scratching their heads as to why so many celebrities have all of a sudden these paranoramol encounters? Great question Terr and I can't speak for anyone of those celebrities as far as my knowing them outside what we all see on the tv screen. But, as a 'intuitive' I am in total belief that the producers of this show, whom I have met and they were not the reason I picked one of their shows for up to give our thoughts on I must add, seem to me as very trustworthy individuals and great editors.

I have actually spoken with the editor of the show mainly because we have a mutual friend and in a conversation my friend and I were having, I mentioned how much I appreciated the camera work as well as the editing on the Celebrity Ghost Stories...and then my friend mentioned.."Oh I know him!" Hence, I got to meet and speak with the actual producer's of the show and kind of read their energy. And, what I read was that most celebrities do have paranormal stories like the rest of us do and were happy to finally be able to share them on a show that they thought wouldn't make light or discredit their story or their reputations to boot.

So Terri, I'm happy to be able to give my not only remote reading on the show but my up front and personal reading of the authenticity of it's producer's and the celebrities stories. For what it's worth I believe that everyone of the celebrities chosen for an episode really believes they have witnessed what they have.

My very favorite episode was the one with the character actor who was on the Soprano's as well as many other major movies. I don't want to give his name only because I'm not here to endorse a career at the moment only the episode. But the episode I'm speaking of is when he and his then girlfriend took a trip to New Mexico and the hotel the were in was haunted. I LOVED that episode and as a medium and could absolutely feel the true haunting and actuallly want to visit the hotel in New Mexico to help the woman who is haunting it crossover.

  63. I'd also like to add the reasons why I chose 'Pitt Boss' to begin with. I love the show for one and I feel that it's one of the most real-feeling reality shows on air today.

Let's just ponder for a moment what it would be like to feel like a "Little Person,' on an everyday basis. Gee's I catch myself complaining because my daughter Jackie's Jeep is too high for my old bones (only kidding about the old !)
to climb up to and be comfortable in.
When I turned on Pitt Boss for the first time and watched as these very more than average people conquered their height problems and watch then tackled taken care of stray Pitt Bulls, a breed of dogs most of us are fearful of - 'that's reality" and real love for animals. And the show is humorous, loving and also shows what conflicts they've gone through with family problems as well as personal ones.

I must say I don't see any of them as little people any longer, but taller than the 'average' person as they define us who are of average height. I chose Pitt Bulls for all the lessons it teaches me and wholeheartedly recommend the viewing lessons to all.

  64. Mary First off, I would like to say I truly miss listening to you on my Sat. Radio. You started my mornings off on a positive. I also want to let you know that I had first heard of you on your reality show. Sadly both were cut off too short for me. It seemed like such a tease and I wanted more. I am delighted that there is some way of getting my "Mary" fix.

As for the Pit Boss, I am tooooooo sensitive to the cruelty of what those poor dogs go through. I find myself so drained and very depressed to know that there are so many other dogs out there getting such abuse. Its not to say that its not a good thing for it to be out there (TV show). People need to be aware of such cruelty.

Also for people to see that we are not the physical being, but what it is we have/are inside. Big, small, black, white, green. Shouldnt matter.

  65. Thank you for answering all of my internal questions, Mary. You read my mind, so to speak, and then explained what I can appreciate. I had those exact questions you mentioned about the difference in intuitive opinions and basic oppinions because I feel that I am extremely intuitive, but I question whether my opinions on regular, basic issues are intuitive or just my current personality conciousness. I think this whole idea will be extremely helpful for me and many others. You're right. I do make internal predictions, read energies, and get impressions from regular issues and people I see on tv. I guess I just don't trust myself, even when I end up being completely accurate about people. These will be very good exercises for us all, I think. We could all use some practice in being more objective. Thank you so much.

  67. Mary I also want to tell you that I REALLY miss you in the mornings on Sirus. My 5 year old and I have been listening for years, and I took you on my walks, workouts, in the car etc... You made me look at things differently and like the other people have said, started my day out on a positive note. We need you back!!!!! At least reading this has made me feel we haven't lost you!!
ANYWAY, I am glad to hear you believe in Celebrity Ghost Stories, I watched a few segments but heard the celebrities were getting paid and they made the stories up etc.... happy to hear that is not the case. As for the Haunted, that show really "freaks me out" and seems more "believeable".

  68. I am actually grateful for these shows. I don't watch them regularly or frequently, but I do try to turn every situation into a learning experience. These shows remind me of the person I choose NOT to be. I am NOT materialistic. I choose to be kind to my friends. There are all kinds of people in this world, and I am grateful for all of them, even the "housewives." They only help to remind me what I chose NOT to be.

  69. Mary’s question: What's your take on these shows? Are they...Good, Bad or do they... just Stink?

Millions of people are watching unconsciously I feel. They are swept away with their monkey mind; alwayz thinking, worrying, and focusing on what they do not want, attracting like into their lives. My ego state of mind love reality shows. The ego loves to feel good through others mishappenings. My higher self feels different. It focuses only on what I wish to experience in life, knowing all is well always. I find balance with reality shows by not taking ANY of it to seriously. Just silly people acting out in silly ways. I love the freedom of choice. Remote please...

Yay! Thanks for the info about Celebrity Ghost Stories. Glad to hear it's real because I really do like the show. As Kimberly said, I also heard they got paid and that they were "acting"....and I also noticed that a lot of the celebs weren't, shall we say, "A-listers" so I thought - hey, maybe they need the money! LOL Thanks for the info!!

PS Miss you in the mornings, but got to see you in Easton!!! :)

  72. Hey Mary. I have thought about reality tv shows and this blog since you first put it up. I don't always watch the show that you have mentioned but do find myself watching mostly "reality" tv. I like, no I love reality shows. They let me know what people are like outside of my world. Yes, some are better then others. Yes some show to much yelling, backstabing, drinking but to me that is reality. Unfortunatly there are people in this world who act like that whether on tv or standing in line at your local grocery store. I think that the real problem is that soceity puts certain individual whether from reality tv or just a plan actor up on a pedistal. We Idolize someone because they have money or can sing/act. I think that it is important for us to see outside of our worlds but we as adults must teach our children that some behavior is not good. Thanks all I got for now. Have a good day.

  73. Reality TV....well Mary, I guess my take would be....
In today's day and age, reality would be that The Real Housewives hold full time jobs, run a household, have lunch with their children and seldom find time to be alone, let alone gossip with friends.
All that being said, I did watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey, I found myself tuning into the show just to see how absurd the ladies could be.
Just my thoughts on this topic.
It is so nice to be able to read your blog Mary.. I do miss you on my morning commute.

  74. About Ms.DuBois on BH Houswives: It was really sad and it felt really ugly to hear her "absolute" readings and her "KNOW THAT!" comments. After seeing her self-absorbed personality on that show, I had to tell my parents to definitely avoid it for fear it would completely turn them off of one of their favorite fictional tv shows (Medium)and break their hearts. In fact, I'd really be surprised if that appearance on Housewives didn't hurt the popularity of the fictional show Medium. I can't even think of that show without seeing an ugly image of the real Ms. Dubois.
I know of another self-absorbed psychic who uses her own selfish agenda in some of her inaccurate readings and seeing this lady made me wonder if maybe all psychics think they're God and have fun playing mind tricks on those they believe are beneath themselves. I think her appearance on tv is an insult to many psychic intuitives who use their gifts for the betterment of humankind. That was the last straw for me and I try to watch more possitive, constructive shows durring my tv time.

  75. I have to say I am addicted to watching these reality shows such as the Real Housewives. It is intriguing to watch how the other side of the rich lives but you do realize that some do have the same problems as us regular people and that money doesn't always make you happy. They may have no financial woes but some still do not look they they are happy with their lives. Maybe they should use there money and fame to help the less fortunate more and may feel better about themselves. I do think that the medium that was on with Camille behaved horribly and hope that seeing herself in that light may make her change her ways. Funny she was asked to comment on her behaivor but she declined.... as for Camille, although I feel bad for her with her marital issues she should take a good look as how she acts and see how narcisistic she is and may be a reason why she has some of these issues with others. These reality stars should take a good look at some of the ways they deal with others and hopefully learn from seeing how ridiculous they behave.
My question is how do these people get picked to be on the show? What is real and what is not. Some of the more outragious characters should really take a good look at themselves and see how ridiculous they act and start changing their ways.
I do like the other shows....but skeptical a bit about them also... such as Ghost Hunters, Celebrity Ghost Stories, and those that help others while learning about themselves such as Paranormal Children and Paranormal State.

  76. Good morning everyone! And for my friends who miss my Brooklynese accent..."Madonna a Mia!"
It's freaking cold outside! That's the weather here on Long Island. Cold, and lots of rain on the way.

Now, back to our blog and our intuitive lessons.

When I look at certain TV shows, I find myself most times not really listening to what any one character is supposedly up to but looking inside the person speaking or reacting and while doing so I begin to 'read' their energy and the energy of the scene.

Do I believe that some scene's are staged...Yes.
But I don't intuitively feel that a producer tell snyone exactly what to say but gives them scenario's that they can be a part of. Such as going to lunch and maybe having on person ask the other a personal question without the other party being aware of what's about to happen.

And, I must say that I find myself watching more and more of these "Housewives" shows just to see what the networks are looking for when the choose a tv show? Intuitively, it looks as though they are looking for rich women...or wanna-be-rich women who can take out some heavy loans to look rich, act like spoiled, ridulous school girls, (from a school that I would have begged my parents to take me out of).

When I watched the Beverly Hills Housewives, again I believe that Lisa has the kindest heart and we won't see her acting like anyone she isn't. I also admire Adrienne, her neighbor in the Hills who owns the Palm Casino. Adrienne is also a lady who knows what's right and wrong and you never she her acting the fool. When I intuitively read both these woman, I get the feeling that if I had their money (God can you hear me?), I believe I would stay myself as they have. Yes, they have probably always had big bucks - but these woman make you love them for it not become disgusted by it.

As for me and having a reality show of my own last summer. The worse thing to see is family fighting. And when I saw Kyle going after her sister Kim, no matter what personal problem Kim has - my take is that her sister should have had her back and not believed Taylor before her sister no matter if she were right or wrong.
I don't know, maybe it's my Bklyn-Sicilian upbringing. But their is no amount of money that could make me talk to my family that way in front of camera and it's not good for people to see or think that speaking that way to your siblings (although is go's on everyday in life - should not happen with people who are supposingly well-bread).

    Love You All,
    Mary

    ReplyDelete
  77. Mary - you nailed it. Exactly the conversation I had with a friend yesterday. I really appreciate the sincerity of Lisa, and the straight forward-mind her own business style of Adrienne. I believe the fights are somewhat provoked sometimes, if not necessarily "staged" and that everyone makes a choice -- act like a fool on camera or don't. They're adults, and I'll be they regret their own actions when they see the show go to press. Shame on some of the behavior (especially "the medium" - she was off the rails." Miss you in the morning and love you more Mary! Joanie C. PA

  78. Good morning everyone! It's not raining men here on Long Island but I wouldn't mind if it did :}
It's just raining like crazy and flooding some side streets...Just a little intuitive weather report.

My intuiive thoughts for today are ones I've been on practicing again and again over the past few months.

The first - let's call it an "I.T." from now on for short...short for "Intuitive Thought," is not to let the TV drama we can catch from negative shows or any other kind of drama affect my life as well as my life-plan.

You see, no matter how psychic or intuitive we are we're all only human beings with flaws. And keeping my own intuitive mind above water is something I have to work on daily on a daily basis. And I must to admit there are times I feel as though I may drown because my angry or the judgemental side of me pushes through more than I'd like it to. When these negative shadows peep through my soul, I've begun to chant and put something on TV that can take my mind off of my concerns. Shows like the American Idol (I love A.I. and I have NEVER missed an airing! And I have to add that I feel the energy of the judges and the producers this year is better than it ever before.) Of course I miss Simon and Paula but...

But back to my chanting...I've been repeating to myself in my head most times,

"It just doesn't matter...It is what it is." "It just doesn't matter...it is what it is."

And I'm happy to report that after repeating those words just last evening after receiving more than a little 'AGITA," during the day I was able to put aside any negative drama I felt I was receiving from any outside sources and allow myself to live in the present and enjoy J.Lo, Steven Tyler and Randy (the Dawg) Jackson on what I feel is the most positive Idol year I've ever seen. And for any TV producer's out there who believe that people have to be MEAN to each other in order to receive huge ratings...boy how wrong you are. Because when Jennifer Lopez completely broke down and cried her eyes out the night before because she felt so hurt for they young man, I believe his last name is Medina, when she had to tell him he didn't make the top 24...well, I know she's an actress and probably can cry I cue...but as an intuitive I did a reading on her with just that question in mind and as far as I'm concerned J.Lo was crying REAl tears for the young man and the show now has more heart than ever and have you all noticed that this year we're seeing more talent that ever before!

So here's to a "No Agita Day!" And if agita or negative drama tries to seep into your day chant with me...It doesn't really matter and it is what it is and keep on trucking baby!

    Love you most,
    Mary Occhino

Positive energy and positive reinforcement works!
So, today if you're getting Agita from anyone or maybe something is really ticking you off, or someone has hurt your feelings...chant a little chant with me.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I lOVE American Idol this year also! I thought I would miss it without Simon, I was very glad to see Kara go. I don't miss Simon at all, all the judges are great this year! I sat with a box of tissues both nights!!

I have seen American Idol in the past and i know I will make it a point to lock and load it this season. I will be checking in for more awakenings! 81. I've watched American Idol in the past, in fact, I was a big fan of the show! But after awhile, it was so "routine"....every year the same 'ol format, so I stopped watching it, which was around the time Paula Abdul left. Now this year, my curiosity was peaked...there was no "Simon" (who I really liked) and 2 new judges! I wasn't a fan of either J.Lo or Steven Tyler...but again, I was curious.

And I have to be honest and say, I'm really enjoying the show!! Randy, J.Lo & Steven Tyler really have great chemistry!! I feel that Jennifer & Steven brought in a different vibe, a positive vibe..just a whole new awakening to the show! And the talent this year....incredible!

I also agree with you Mary...Jennifer's tears were the real deal, she honestly felt horrible telling Chris Medina he didn't make it into the top 24. She wasn't "acting" for the show....she was genuine.

I have a feeling this season of American Idol will be one of it's best!!

  82. Hi Mary!!!!!
For some odd reason- house wives has not attracted me. I have cried genuine tears during Idol this year. I rewinded my DVR 3 times to watch the tear fall from Randy's cheek when he spoke to Chris Medenas fiance. There are 3 big hearts doing the judging and I am bummed that its Friday and I won't have their pleasant and soul warming entertainment in my home tonite. I LOVE ♥ this blog and the light, fun, topic you have chosen. My favorite stuff to discuss. Just some OUTSTANDING reality tv I have had the pleasure of watching:
    I Survived (BIO Channel)
I Survived Here and Beyond (Bio Channel)
Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (VH1)
What would you do w/Jon Quinones
    Secret Millionaire
    Idol
these shows leave you with that "feel good emotion" after a tough day in the real world. These shows truly have the ability to reverse your agita. Thank you for such a fun topic. ♥ u more

Secret Millionaire is pretty special and unique

Mary- I stopped eating animal products 5 years ago. What is your opinion on this? I went on my gut with the decision but have been constantly challenged by most friends and family. 84. happy Sunday, Mary! Great post on the 'agita'. I can totally relate to what you are saying when you talk about outside negative energy stressing you out. Chanting is great and, of course, I meditate daily but if i'm out and about it is so important for me to take a DEEP breath if I feel the train going of the tracks of my kind. You've met me, you've read me...you know Im a pretty nice guy...but then theres the other side to me..oh boy..lets just say, I can sometimes and loose patience quickly. I don't say mean things to people but it's more about me feeling like "i can't take it anymore' "i work to hard' "this freakin' guy in front of me can't drive"...etc..life stuff. So I intuitively know when I am heading in that direction because I can feel my energy start to shift to an unbalanced place and if i'm not at home where I can lay down and meditate I simply go into my mind and soul and breathe very deep the positive white light I know is around me (us).
I agree with you about this seasons American Idol. I have been watching it and have always loved the show. The panel of judges works, I think, because they are all themselves artists and they can take themselves back to when they wanted it so bad they could taste it. I think this makes for a positive harmony that is refreshing. I loved Simon on the show and Paula too but I get the sense these three really want the kids to do well and that feels good to watch and be a part of that energy.
    Thanks for the topic!

  85. That makes sense Tina. I hadn't looked at it that way yet:)

  86. Hi Mary,

I love American Idol this year!! It is so great seeing the judges really connecting with the contestants this year through feelings and emotions. I really didn't think I would enjoy Idol this year since Simon was leaving, but I'm happy to say I was wrong. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez has brought so much positive feelings and class to American Idol this year the ratings have gone off the charts for me.

    Rock on Idol!!!!

I love the chanting!!! I wish I knew of the chanting the week of the full moon. The week of the full moon was a rough week for me because my emotions were running out of control.

    Love you more!

  87. Happy Monday Friends! I've been in my shop since 6am this morning mainly because I couldn't sleep because of the dampness from the heavy rains on L.I. and because my back was killing my from lifting my Godchild and nephew Michael Rene' yesterday at my cousin Roseann's daughter, Tara's, baby shower.

Tara if you're reading this blog plesae leave work early today. (Tara almost didn't make it to her own baby shower because she was in the hospital with pre-labor until 2 that morning!).

We all had a great time and my mom got to go also and that in itself was a miracle and a an extra reason to be joyful!

Okay, now to the topic for today...are you ready guys?

    It's the Academy Awards that aired last night. :{

Now, I'm not being judgemental - I'm just sharing my intiutive opinion of which we all have a right to do.

So here goes...The show felt stale to me. Of course I appreciated, as a viewer from the outside looking in, all the hard work it took and takes to create a show as huge as the Academy Awards. BUT...the feeling I was left with was the hosts were working too hard on trying to be entertaining and funny. It's hard for me to acknowledge that comment because I like them both so much as ACTORS...NOT AS HOSTS! I believe and the hosts I believe actually acknowledge the fact that the shows pruducers chose the youngest hosts ever because the were hoping to capture the younger viewer.

    ReplyDelete
  88. As I continue...

I believe their theory back-fired and although most of us who usually watch the Ac. Awards might have TIVO'D the show, may have lost interest as I did, 10 minutes into the show.

My favorite part of the show was when Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges were presented. They were natural, relaxed and more knowlegable on what the viewers wanted. And what I wanted and what I found missing was a natural performance from the hosts. I actually threw my hands up in the air during an Oy Vey moment I had when James Franco who I really LOVE as an actor, walked onto the stage dressed as Marilyn Monroe. What were they thinking?

I fell asleep halfway through and woke up again at 1am and finished watching the show because I had made predictions and wanted to see how I had done. I only intuitively vote for Best Song, Best Supporting Actor and Actress.
Best Director, Best Movie and Best Actor and Actress and this year it really wasn't hard to chose the winners although I had only seen, "The Social Network." on DVD. But I scored 100% as many of you may have this year.

Unfortunately, as I was looking at the taping of the show and because the show went over the alloted time schedule, my tv stop taping just before the PS 22 choir was to go on! And they were the freaking reason I wanted to watch the show in it's entirety.

So, first thing this morning when I got into my shop I went to Youtube and found the video of the choir singing, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow!" I was crying my eyes out as I felt their joy, love and soul. The soul and love that comes out of the voices of those very fortunate children who are blessed to have such a wonderful and giving teacher, Mr. B!

As I've said on my radio show, Angels on call..."Everyone is drawn to the light and positive energy." And Mr. B, their choir teacher from Staten Island is flooded with love for not only his job/career but for everyone of those children. Watching him and those children perform (check them out on YouTube and you'll be blown away with all their natural talent and the freedom in which he's taught them to sing with. And he's also told them not to be stuffy and to not only perform a song but to BE the song and show their feelings as they sing!).

So if I had a chance to speak with the Academy I would give them my intuitive opinion of last nights show and that would be...

"Stop being so concerned with target demographic's and keeping up with other shows and how young the hosts should be.

Intutively I believe that a great host is a great host no matter what age they are. Kirk Douglas was wonderful to see for a few minutes but after a while I found myself becoming antsy waiting for him to finish.

    And I'd also like to voice my intuitive thoughts about next years Award show! If the target market gets any younger next year we may have to add an extra commericial because the hosts Nanny may have to dash them back stage for a quick diaper change :}

I'd love your thoughts are how you felt about the show and also what you think about the PS 22 Choir from Staten Island, NYC!

    Love U more,

  89. I've never watched reality tv shows for very long like the housewives genre or the bad girls club series or the jersey shore. It's like watching a train wreck because the people are only on there to be noticed and that is their only claim to fame.

  90. Good Monday Mary,

I didn't watch any of the Academy Awards, but it doesn't appear that I missed much other than the PS 22. TMZ appears to feel the same as you did about the Academy Awards last night. They keep talking about how boring it was. I will check out PS 22 on YouTube though.

    Have a wonderful evening!

    Many Blessings,
    Rhonda

Katy told the children how they set off a spark going on YouTube and now being on stage at the Kodak theater singing with her on Oprah!!!!! It was sooooo inspiring, I hope many children will learn from that!!!

  92. I have watched the reality show with the Osbornes and was fascinated with it.: )) First one I had watched. I have watched Dog the Bounty Hunter a few times and also have watched Dr.Drew and some intervention shows. .Watched the Jersey Shores and found it disgusting but then I am not a teenager and I would not want a teenager to watch it. I do not like reality shoes. It is just a cheap way for the networks to make money.

  93. I forgot there is one other reality show that I sometimes watch with my husband, it's Jean Simmons' Family Jewels. The kids really make the show. Funny but still loving.

  94. Mary I loved to listen to you on the radio. I got out of the car felt uplifted with infinite possibilities good and bad. Your show allows listeners to see beyond the troubles pertinent to them, no matter how minuet. People are better prepared when they know trouble is ahead. So with that being said I believe television programs get people to believe and feel certain ways. Reality television denotes success (money) and drama. No family interaction, no love, no commitment, looks, and money. They paint a distorted fiction of life. If you become vulnerable at any moment we will feel how they want us to feel depressed and striving for more material things. These attributes motivate people to do more as strange as it sounds, reverse psychology. Why not motivate people by showing what they lack. These same viewers spend like them, strive to be like them, raise there children like them and most of all act like them. The result financial ruin for people and large companies and government stay wealthy. The government and other organizations selling us products seen on TV are not in crisis it’s us. Sorry Mary just a thought. (smile) Love Jessica!!

  95. Hello Mary,
Hope you are well. I was wondering your thought on all the revolutions going on (Egypt and Libya) and who knows who will be the next one ... and if you had any prediction on how it will all turn out?
